We are thrilled to announce our active participation in the upcoming “Unpacking Afghanistan’s Past and Present” conference, which will take place in London from November 4th to 5th, 2023. This event, themed “Bringing Afghanistan to Scale: Perspectives on Local, National, and Global Dynamics,” continues the legacy of three previous interdisciplinary academic gatherings focused on Afghanistan.
“Bringing Afghanistan to Scale” builds on the success of past events held at SOAS University of London in 2018, 2019, and 2022. These previous gatherings brought together a diverse community of scholars and practitioners researching Afghanistan and its diaspora. The primary aim of these gatherings was to provide a platform for junior researchers and established scholars to present innovative research and engage in meaningful discussions. This collaborative environment fostered the creation of a wider international network dedicated to Afghanistan Studies.
The conference’s two-day program is packed with thought-provoking panels, each delving into different aspects of Afghanistan’s past and present.
We are eager to be part of this academic exchange and to continue sharing our research with the wider academic community.
