Malin Francke is a student in the Department of Communication and Media Studies at Leipzig University. She studied Communication Science and Political Science at the University of Greifswald from 2019 to 2023 and successfully completed her Bachelor of Arts in 2023. In October 2023, Malin began her Master’s degree in Communication and Media Studies at
Leipzig University.

During her Bachelor’s degree, Malin dealt with a wide range of communication and media science theories as well as political issues. In her Master’s degree, Malin wants to combine both disciplines and examine the potential of communication and media to address social and political challenges.
Malin has been working as a research assistant at the Research Center for Development Communication since February 2024.
