We are thrilled to announce an upcoming conference centered on communication from, within, and between diasporas in Germany taking place in Leipzig from the 4th – 5th of October. Set to delve into the intricate dynamics of diaspora interaction, the event will shed light on the various forms of media and digital platforms shaping these connections.
The term “diaspora” refers to a group of people living away from their original homeland, dispersed across the globe. Diaspora communication encompasses the vibrant exchange between diaspora members and their countries of origin, as well as the nations they currently reside in.
Hosted by the Centre for Communication for Social Change at the Institute for Communication and Media Studies at Leipzig University, the conference brings together esteemed scholars and practitioners including Dr. Kefa Hamidi, Dr. Hazrat Bahar, Ali Reza Hussanini, Mariam Meetra, Hamid Obaidi, Laily Habib, and Abumoslem Khorasani.
Join us as we delve into this fascinating subject, exploring cultural exchange, support systems, and the digital landscape shaping diaspora communities in Germany and beyond.
