Diving deep into the theme with “What does it mean to become or to be an academic?”, our two-day masterclass was a riveting exploration. Divided into three informative blocks and led by Prof. Dr. Abbas Poya from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) participants engaged in enriching discussions.

Participants presented their academic journeys in Afghanistan, Iran, and Germany, delving into the unique trajectories each country offers. Comparative insights into academic careers illuminated the diverse landscapes.

We delved into the German academic system, exploring diverse qualifications, the art of crafting academic papers, and career prospects, especially in Humanities. Guided discussions on scientific analysis criteria enriched the discourse.

The final block centered around the intriguing intersection of Islam, Human Rights, and tolerance, meticulously deciphering the essence of a scientific approach. This exploration further elucidated the intricacies of a human rights-oriented society.

We’re honored to have Prof. Dr. Abbas Poya, Professor of Reform Discourses in Contemporary Islam at the Department of Islamic-Religious Studies (DIRS) at Friedrich-Alexander University, as guest speaker thrilled by the engagement and insights shared during this masterclass.
